On election night 2018 a small group of protesters marched around Portland to raise their voices about a proposed anti-imigration law. They marched through the main city square, then on to other areas. Near the end of the recording you can hear the overly-militarized Portland Police telling them to disperse despite the legal right to assemble peacefully and obeying all laws.
In this second recording, the crowd has returned to the main square. You can hear the young security guard telling his boss they are back. Later a racist shows up and starts an altercation.
Currently the mayor of Portland is trying to pass a law that would deeply restrict the legal right to protest. Fuck that.

Thank you for posting this, as well as the first recording. This is a phenomenal insight, for me, into what actually goes on during a protest. I agree with you that they do have a right to peacefully protest, as they were doing, from what I can hear. This is a good recording. Thanks again.
