    Scene-Break Music (Slightly Comedic)?

When an action sequence (like an intense chase, a fight scene, etc) is broken by a quick scene break where everything is slow-paced, dull/boring, etc, but simply follows the logistical order of things (like going up/down an elevator ride, waiting in line, and so on), what is the tune that almost always accompanies it?

Over the years, from tv to movies, it's always a widely-recognized and VERY specific tune/rhythm. Not sure if piano or xylophone with perhaps a string instrument in the background(?), it's usually very quiet but not always.

I have no idea if the music in question is free to use or requires attribution.

Can anyone tell me what this piece is called or where I can find it?

Do you have a specific example?
Sounds like a typical cheesy Easy Listening/Elevator music from a Stock music / Production music libraries.

    Something like this:
